Captain Cankut Küçüktürk has joined Türk P&I Team on August 2020. Once he graduated from Deck Department of ITU Maritime Faculty, Capt. Kucukturk started his sea career as Deck Officer and served on board various types and sizes of vessels for 12 years up to the rank of Ocean-Going Master Mariner. In 2010, he joined Kalimbassieris Maritime and served as Marine Surveyor and Claims Handler and local correspondent for damage, loss and casualty cases on behalf of P&I, H&M Clubs and other marine insurance companies. Additionally, he performed loss prevention surveys, inspections and audits for various Clubs and Flag States. In 2018, he joined Marsh Insurance Broker and Risk Management as Senior Manager, VP in Placement Department. He recently joined us as Underwriter.

Upon graduation from Maritime Academy in 1990, Capt. Pamuk joined Zihni Shipping and worked more than 18 years as Master Mariner on board in various size of bulk carriers/tankers for 12 years, and as ISM Manager/Ship Operations Manager/General Manager at shore management for 6 years, respectively. In 2008, he joined as a Marine Surveyor to Kalimbassieris Maritime which is being acted as marine consultants and P&I correspondents of IG Clubs. In addition to overseeing P&I claims and correspondency for Clubs along with his regular loss prevention/damage related surveys, he also attended on various casualties in Turkey, assisted to salvage/towage issues, investigated pollutions and human injuries/loss of life. Then he acted as Head of P&I Department in same company from 2009 until his fall in with Türk P&I Sigorta family as Technical Manager, in the beginning of 2014. Captain Pamuk, who joined our family as Technical Manager with the establishment of our company in January 2014 and was appointed as Technical Group Manager in January 2022, has been serving as Assistant General Manager (Technical and Claims) since January 2024.

He was born in 1971 in Istanbul. In 1992, İTÜ he graduated from ITU Maritime Academy- Deck Department. He started his maritime life on passenger vessels affiliated to TDI Maritime Lines and later on worked as deck officer and 2nd Captain in chemical tankers. Having moved from active maritime life to insurance sector since 1997, Teker first started working as a marine and marine transportation insurance specialist in a local insurance company.
Afterwards, he worked as Sales, Marketing, Reinsurance Technical Group Manager, and between 2003-2013, he served as General Manager and Board Member at Omni Insurance and Reassurance Brokerage. He has been serving as the General Manager and Board Member of Türk P&I Sigorta since the establishment of the company back in 2013.
He continues to serve as the Chairman of I.T.U Defamed (YDO), Board Member of Türk Lloyd Foundation, member of Turmepa, member of Tüdev Board of Trustees, member of Koç University Maritime Forum (KUDENFOR). He gave lectures on Marine Insurance at ITU Maritime Faculty, Suny Maritime Faculty and Yıldız Technical University. He has a wide number of articles published in various media and gives seminars on "Maritime and Marine Insurance".
